  • "When is the Kickstarter launching?" - The Kickstarter will launch in January, 2026.

  • "When will be the full release?" - It is hard to assume, since the Kickstarter can change the course of development in a great way, but I will do my best to approximate as soon as possible.

  • "What kind of game will Sword Hero be?" - Sword Hero will be an Open World RPG following classic design schemes, aiming to be a fully-fledged "Gothic-like".

  • "How much will the game cost?" - I will have this information by the time of the Kickstarter, but most likely around the same level as other open world indie games.

  • "Will there be bigger enemies?" - Yes, there will be pretty big enemies too later in the game, you will also be able to cling to specific points on them, and strike using your Dagger.

  • "Will there be towns in the game?" - Yes, there will be 3 bigger settlements, one for each Faction - and a small town that serves as the game's introductory hub sort of.

  • "Will the game have a story/lore?" - Yes, you can also read about the lore of Sword Hero on the website.

  • "Will there be player housing?" - Yes, you will be able to buy and furnish houses, and invest in businesses.

  • "Will there be magic/spells in the game?" - Yes, there will magic in the game. In the beginning using Scrolls, which get used up as you cast them, and later you will be able to join mage guilds, where you can learn different types of spells, including but not limited to - Necromancy, Transformation, Summoning, Mind spells and several others.

  • "How do you open the door in the arena Demo?" - Well, you can't. At least, not in an intended way. There were some guys on the server who succeeded though, so I'll give a little hint: You can see the key in the Main Menu. :)

  • "Will there be a crime system and punishments?" - Yes, crimes will be sorted into 3 main categories - Puny, for which you will get beaten up and potentially robbed by those who you anger, or you need to pay reparations in order to make peace. - Serious crimes, for which the local guards will try to incapacitate you on sight, and carry you to their dungeon, from where you can either escape and make the Faction your enemy, or spend your time, getting a hefty debuff. - And at last, there are Hostile actions, which automatically make the Faction your enemy, such as murdering someone and getting caught red-handed.

  • "How many Factions will there be?" - 3. The Kingdom of Wes, The Peltfolk and Neo-Weslandia. You will be able to join either of them, where you can get special gear, Perks and of course their own unique slice of the story.

  • "Can the player create their own Faction?" - While not in a strict sense, like in Mount and Blade for example, joining a Faction won't be the only way. You can also carve your own path to greatness and your goals, but that path is slippery of blood.
